External ballast is offered as an option for SOLIBA level detectors. Thanks to their reduced operating angle (±10°), these detectors allow precise detection of incoming solid materials (grains, gravel, powders, cereals, etc.), generally without requiring ballast on the cable.
However, in certain configurations, particularly in silos or storage cells with limited space, the ballast reduces the movement of the level detector and thus tilts the float to ensure optimal operation.
⚠️ It is strongly discouraged to use clamps or any other device to replace ballast, as these may damage the cable and deteriorate the device.
