The SOLIBA E is a high level detector for non-explosive zones. It ensures safe filling stop of storage cells and silos.
This version is specially designed for detecting very light powdered materials. It combines the SOLIBA detector with an aluminum funnel, which significantly increases the contact surface with the material.
Unlike the standard SOLIBA, this enlarged surface allows the product to rest more easily on the detector, thus improving sensitivity and detection reliability, even with materials of very low apparent density.
An ideal solution for fine, light and low-cohesion powders, where a standard contact surface would be insufficient.

Securing installations by tiltingInstalled inside the silo, hopper or storage cell, it is suspended at the end of its electrical cable. During filling, the bulk material (grains, powders, granules, etc.) forms a slope. When the slope reaches the detector, it causes it to tilt. The change in inclination then activates an electrical contact, which sends a stop or control signal to the automation system (e.g. stop filling, trigger an alarm, etc.).

The level detector's switching angle can vary depending on its position relative to the slope formed by the bulk material, but especially depending on the positioning of the ballast or the fixing point.
You can adjust the fixing point or the counterweight on the device's cable. Thus, the greater the distance between the ballast and the detector, the greater the switching angle will be, and consequently the later the level detection will occur.
To adjust the ballast on the cable, simply pull on the plastic or resin ballast to unclip it from the clamping ring or O-ring. Then, slide the clamping ring / O-ring to the desired location and replace the ballast on it, so that the weight is locked on the cable.
Detector mountingThe float level switch can be suspended via the cable sheath, using a support or the fixing accessory, FIXCAB, which allows proper fixing of the electrical cable at the desired height and allows precise adjustment at any time. Be careful when using clamps or other elements during fixing, which can damage the cable and deteriorate the device by allowing water to enter inside the float level switch by capillarity.

In outdoor or humid spaces, the electrical connection of the float level switch must be watertight and properly insulated in a hermetic box, thus preventing water or other contaminants from penetrating the cable. This helps prevent water infiltration that could compromise the safety of electrical connections and the lifespan of the float. The electrical connection box must never be placed inside the tank. The cable and its capillary can be extended using a standard signal cable. We equip our floats with the cable length you require to avoid connections that would harm their operation. |
