ACS certification is mandatory for devices which are in contact with dinking water for human comsumption. If you do not respect this rule you could be penalized during a control. So if you have drinking water and want to control its quantity or its level in a tank or a cistern,
ATMI advises you to use SOBA EP. This tilt level switch enables you a regulation of the level of water that is contained in a cistern. So, if drinking water reaches the defined high level, the SOBA EP tilt level switch will tilt and thanks to a contact with an electrical panel, will stop or start the filling of the tank.
With SOBA EP it is possible to detect a high level and a low level of water. To do this, two tilt level switches must be put for the high and low levels you have defined. When the quantity of water increases and reaches the high level, the tilt level switch tilts and stops the filling but when the level of water decreases and reaches the low level, it tilts to provoke the filling of the tank.
The emptying and filling functions for drinking water are therefore possible thanks to high and low alarms.
