The BIP STOP pump connection contactor is a level switch designed to automate pump operation using a single unit, providing alarm, low-water cut-out and fill-stop functions.

All the level switches offered by ATMI are therefore level switches which, like the AT 120 level switch, the AT 120 HR HY level switch and the ATS 165 level switch, open or close the power supply circuit to the pumps, either directly or via a relay.

It is the distance between the float and the cable’s attachment point that determines the control differential (which varies depending on the model: a maximum of 1.50 m is recommended). They are generally used with small pumps and cellar drainage pumps in liquid mixtures with little turbulence.

• V or R – Drain or Fill
• VR – Drain/Fill
• VT – Drain + Earth
• VS – Drain + Dual-function tap

Main applications of the BIP STOP contactor

The main applications of the BIP STOP contactor for connecting to a pump are as follows:

• Clear water, clean water, rainwater, certain types of waste water
• Mildly corrosive liquids and certain more corrosive liquids when used with an HR HY cable
• Drainage or filling function
• Water shortage cut-out
• High/low alarm
