Used to discharge wastewater and sludge, lift pumps play a vital role in the sewerage system. To equip these pumps, ATMI has developed a level-measuring mechanism that is both safe and effective: omnidirectional pear-shaped floats.
Float-type level switches open or close the power supply circuit to the pumps, either directly or via a relay. The difference between the low and high levels is determined by the distance between the float and the point where the electrical cable is fixed. When the device is used with an adjustable weight on the cable, it is the distance between the weight and the float that determines the control level difference (maximum recommended: 1.50 m).
These pear-shaped level sensors can be used to automate low-power pumps or pumps of any power rating by using a relay.
